The East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) baseball trounced the host Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), 12-0 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Mustangs play the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 8. East Lincoln will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).

The Red Tornadoes now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league contest on Monday, March 7. Hickory will play a Spartans squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 1-2.
