Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Homer Mariners (Homer, AK), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Redington upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season.

Next up, the Mariners play the Grace Christian Grizzlies (Anchorage, AK) in a 3A Peninsula bout, on Saturday, March 5. Homer will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a 18-5 record after their 63-29 league win over Nikiski (Nikiski, AK).
