Texas High School Softball - Gilmer bounces Carthage
March 4, 2025: Gilmer, TX 75644 The Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) softball routed the visiting Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX), 9-2 in Tuesday's league outing.
The Buckeyes now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spring Hill for a 4A Region II District 16 outing on Friday, March 7. Gilmer will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 14-2 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Carthage moves to 10-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 16 outing on Friday, March 7. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 2-6. Kilgore lost 6-3 in their recent non-league outing against Hawkins (Hawkins, TX)
