Georgia High School Soccer - Crisp County knocks off Dougherty
March 5, 2024: Cordele, GA 31015 Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA), 10-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Cougars confront the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) in a 3A Region 1 battle, on Friday, March 8. Crisp County will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Golden Tornadoes go into the battle with a 0-9 record after their 10-0 league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA).
The Trojans (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Blue Devils go into the 3A Region 1 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Columbus notched a victory over Carver (Columbus, GA), 12-0, in a league contest.
