South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Wake for a Quad County 3A challenge on Friday, March 8. South Johnston will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Knightdale (Knightdale, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Corinth Holders falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host North Johnston (Kenly, NC) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 8. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
