The Huss Huskies baseball squad (Gastonia, NC), was edged 5-4 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC)

With the triumph, West Mecklenburg moves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hawks travel to Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Monday, March 10. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 0-2. Garinger lost 15-0 in their recent league contest against Butler (Matthews, NC)
