Georgia High School Soccer - Monroe knocks off Dougherty
March 6, 2025: Albany, GA 31705 In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Monroe Golden Tornadoes soccer squad scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Dougherty Trojans.
The Golden Tornadoes (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lanier County (Lakeland, GA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Lanier County got by Echols County (Statenville, GA), 4-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Trojans confront the Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA) in a 3A Region 1 outing, on Tuesday, March 11. Dougherty will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Bearcats go into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 6-0 league win over Westover (Albany, GA).
