Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 7-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, Pinecrest improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Patriots host Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to play the Jaguars in a Mid-South 7A/8A test on Tuesday, March 10. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 2-1. Overhills won 11-10 in their recent league test against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)

With the defeat, Jack Britt drops to 1-3 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC) to battle the Raiders in a Mid-South 7A/8A outing on Tuesday, March 10. The Raiders come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Richmond Senior won 19-0 in their recent league outing against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC)
