The Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX) softball routed the visiting Benjamin Davis Falcons (Houston, TX), 17-9 in Friday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eisenhower for a 6A Region II District 14 test on Tuesday, March 10. Nimitz will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 20-19 league loss to Dekaney (Houston, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-8.

The Falcons (1-10) will now prepare for their test against Aldine (Houston, TX). The Mustangs go into the 6A Region II District 14 test with a 4-14 record. In their last test, Aldine prevailed over Westfield (Houston, TX), 24-4, in a league test.
