Woodgrove Wolverines (Purcellville, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Woodgrove upgrades its record to 29-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Menchville (Newport News, VA) to play the Monarchs in a non-league bout on Friday, March 11. The Monarchs come into the bout with a record of 21-3. Menchville won 59-56 in their recent non-league bout against Norview (Norfolk, VA)
