The Big Spring Steers baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Midland Classical Academy Knights to 8 in the Steers non-league win on Friday.

The Steers now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Merkel for a non-league test on Saturday, March 8. Big Spring will clash with a Badgers team coming off a 12-0 league win over Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, Midland Classical Academy drops to 6-7 on the year. The Knights travel to Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 8. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 7-4. Fort Stockton won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Snyder (Snyder, TX)
