The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) and the host Forest Hill Patriots (Jackson, MS), saw Meridian's baseball team gain a win over Forest Hill by a tally of 6-1.

The Wildcats (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Mendenhall was overwhelmed by Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS), 17-0, in a league battle.
