Virginia High School Basketball - Veritas Collegiate Academy nips Calvary Baptist Academy

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans basketball team scored a close 64-61 triumph over the Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots.

The Spartans (24-10) will now prepare for their contest against Living Water Christian (Jacksonville, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 16-10 record. In their last contest, Living Water Christian was tipped by Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD), 68-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Legacy Academy (Richmond, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 8. Calvary Baptist Academy will attempt to better on its 27-8 season record. The go into the contest with a 10-12 record after their 80-74 non-league win over Faith Christian (Dixon, IL).
