The Sutter Huskies (Sutter, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Hughson Huskies (Hughson, CA), 18-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodland for a Golden Empire League challenge on Monday, March 9. Sutter will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Woodland Christian (Woodland, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 1-2.

The Huskies (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Indians enter the Trans Valley League bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Ripon was overwhelmed by Summerville (Tuolumne, CA), 10-5, in a non-league bout.
