In Saturday's non-league bout, the Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting South Delta Bulldogs (Rolling Fork, MS), by a tally of 14-7.

Next up, the Cowboys encounter the Edwards Tigers (Ruleville, MS) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, March 17. Humphreys County will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record.

With the defeat, South Delta drops to 0-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS) to clash with the Tigers in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 17. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Leflore County lost 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Riverside (Avon, MS)
