In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Polytechnic Panthers softball squad scored a close 12-8 triumph over the Duarte Falcons.

Next, the Panthers play the Rio Hondo Prep Kares (Arcadia, CA) in a Prep challenge, on Thursday, March 12. Polytechnic will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Kares come into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Alhambra (Alhambra, CA).

With the loss, Duarte moves to 2-5 on the season. The Falcons host Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park, CA) to confront the Dons in a Montview battle on Wednesday, March 11. The Dons come into the battle with a record of 1-4. Sierra Vista lost 16-10 in their recent non-league battle against South El Monte (South El Monte, CA)
