The Hicks Pirates triumphed over the host Captain Shreve Gators softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Converse Wildcats (Converse, LA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 12. Hicks will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 3-7 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Mansfield (Mansfield, LA).

With the loss, Captain Shreve moves to 6-8 on the season. The Gators travel to Evans (Evans, LA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 7.
