The Gaston Day Spartans baseball team (Gastonia, NC), was overwhelmed 8-2 in Tuesday's league outing with the host Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC)

The Eagles now hold a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calvary Day School for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 10. Gaston Christian will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to The Burlington School (Burlington, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.

Next, the Spartans confront the Westchester Country Day Wildcats (High Point, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, March 11. Gaston Day will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the outing with a 2-0 record after their 19-4 non-league win over Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC).
