The Yoakum Bulldogs baseball squad (Yoakum, TX), was overwhelmed 13-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX)

With the triumph, Franklin moves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Taylor (Taylor, TX) to confront the Ducks in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 8. The Ducks come into the contest with a record of 2-4. Taylor lost 6-1 in their recent non-league contest against Lorena (Lorena, TX)

The Bulldogs now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hallettsville for a 3A Region IV District 25 contest on Tuesday, March 11. Yoakum will confront a Brahmas squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Brazos (Wallis, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 7-2.
