In Saturday's non-league game, the host Smithson Valley Rangers baseball team scored a nice 11-1 victory over the Medina Valley Panthers.

The Rangers (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX). The Mules enter the 5A Region IV District 26 game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, Alamo Heights was overwhelmed by Canyon (New Braunfels, TX), 11-8, in a non-league game.
