The Richland Rangers (Richland, MS) baseball got by the visiting Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS), 9-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Rangers now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lake for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 10. Richland will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 17-3 non-league win over Forest (Forest, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 11-2.

With the defeat, Pelahatchie drops to 4-9 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Independence (Independence, MS) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 11.
