Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glencoe Yellowjackets (Glencoe, AL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gaston for a 2A Area 12 challenge on Thursday, March 11. Sand Rock will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 19-18 non-league loss to Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Glencoe falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Wellborn (Anniston, AL) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 11. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Wellborn lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Ranburne (Ranburne, AL)
