In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), by a final score of 6-5.

With the win, Weddington upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to battle the Spartans in a Southern Carolina 4A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.

With the defeat, Ardrey Kell falls to 2-2 on the season. The Knights host Palisades (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Pumas in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Pumas come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Palisades lost 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
