Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 5-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Weddington upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Warriors host Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to battle the Wolf Pack in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 7. The Wolf Pack come into the test with a record of 1-1. Parkwood won 12-11 in their recent non-league test against Union Academy (Monroe, NC)

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg falls to 1-1 on the season. The Sabres host Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, March 3. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 1-0. Sun Valley won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)
