South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), 13-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, South Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Sabres travel to Palisades (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Pumas in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 7. The Pumas come into the test with a record of 2-2. Palisades won 12-5 in their recent non-league test against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC)

With the defeat, East Mecklenburg falls to 1-2 on the season. The Eagles host Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to battle the CMS Athletics in a Southwestern 4A test on Tuesday, March 7. The CMS Athletics come into the test with a record of 2-0. Rocky River won 25-13 in their recent non-league test against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
