Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 9-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Charlotte Catholic upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Cougars host Palisades (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Pumas in a non-league test on Friday, April 28. The Pumas come into the test with a record of 7-11. Palisades won 20-7 in their recent non-league test against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC)

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg falls to 15-8 on the season. The Sabres host Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC) to battle the Copperheads in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 26. The Copperheads come into the test with a record of 20-4. Catawba Ridge won 12-3 in their recent non-league test against Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC)
