Georgia High School Soccer - Lumpkin County knocks off Pickens
March 9, 2023: Dahlonega, GA 30533 Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA), 8-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Indians confront the West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) in a 3A Area 7 challenge, on Friday, March 17. Lumpkin County will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 4-0 league win over Gilmer (Ellijay, GA).
The Dragons now have a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host White County for a 3A Area 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Pickens will confront a Warriors team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-4.
