Louisiana High School Softball - Summerfield bounces Byrd
March 9, 2024: Summerfield, LA 71079 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Summerfield Rebels (Summerfield, LA) and the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), saw Summerfield's softball squad nip Byrd by a count of 13-7.
The Rebels now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Zwolle for a non-league match on Saturday, March 9. Summerfield will face a Hawks squad coming off a 13-7 non-league win over Lakeside (Sibley, LA). The Hawks record now stands at 14-1.
With the loss, Byrd falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Red River (Coushatta, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Monday, March 11. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 2-6. Red River lost 14-3 in their recent non-league match against Northwood (Lena, LA)
