North Carolina High School Soccer - Ashe County overwhelmed by Mount Airy
April 1, 2022: Mount Airy, NC 27030 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) and the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Mount Airy's soccer squad beat Ashe County by a margin of 4-0.
The Granite Bears now sport a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to North Surry for a non-league test on Monday, April 4. Mount Airy will encounter a Greyhounds squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Ashe County drops to 3-3 on the season. The Huskies travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to encounter the Pioneers in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 5. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 6-2. Watauga lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC)
