Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans (High Point, NC), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions confront the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte challenge, on Tuesday, April 5. Covenant Day will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Weddington (Matthews, NC).

The Trojans now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Concord Academy for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. Wesleyan Christian Academy will confront a Eagles team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
