Virginia High School Baseball - Bland County holds off Eastern Montgomery
April 1, 2022: Rocky Gap, VA 24366 Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 6-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Bland County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bears host George Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to battle the Maroons in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 5. The Maroons come into the test with a record of 0-2.
With the defeat, Eastern Montgomery drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Patrick County (Stuart, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league battle on Monday, April 4. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 6-1. Patrick County lost 14-1 in their recent non-league battle against Halifax County (South Boston, VA)
