The Robbinsville Black Knights routed the host Swain County Maroon Devils softball squad by a final score of 14-1 in Friday's league battle.

The Black Knights (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves go into the Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Cherokee topped Murphy (Murphy, NC), 9-6, in a league battle.

The Maroon Devils now possess a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hayesville for a Smoky Mountain 1A battle on Tuesday, April 5. Swain County will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 16-8 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-3.
