Milpitas Trojans (Milpitas, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Altos for a De Anza challenge on Monday, April 3. Milpitas will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Capuchino (San Bruno, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Pioneer falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA) to face the Saints in a Mount Hamilton challenge on Monday, April 3. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Santa Teresa won 21-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Kennedy (Fremont, CA)
