Alabama High School Softball - Douglas bounces Pennington
April 1, 2024: Blountsville, AL 35031 Douglas Eagles (Douglas, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boaz for a 5A Area 13 challenge on Thursday, April 4. Douglas will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to North Jackson (Stevenson, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 18-3.
With the loss, Pennington falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Southeastern (Remlap, AL) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Southeastern lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbia Academy (Columbia, TN)
