April 1, 2025: Rootstown, OH 44272 The Rootstown Rovers (Rootstown, OH) baseball trounced the visiting Coventry Comets (Akron, OH), 12-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Rovers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Springfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 2. Rootstown will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Ellet (Akron, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Coventry drops to 1-2 on the year. The Comets host Streetsboro (Streetsboro, OH) to clash with the Rockets in a challenge on Thursday, April 3. The Rockets go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Streetsboro won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Mogadore (Mogadore, OH)
