Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) followers exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the host Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Narragansett advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Mariners travel to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI) to play the Broncos in a Division 3 game on Monday, April 14. The Broncos come into the game with a record of 0-2. Burrillville lost 18-3 in their recent league game against Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI)

The Vikings now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ponaganset for a Division 4 game on Saturday, April 12. Rogers will play a Chieftains team coming off a 11-5 league win over North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 2-1.
