North Carolina High School Softball - Hendersonville bested by Polk County

April 10, 2025: Hendersonville, NC 28791

The Polk County Wolverines triumphed over the host Hendersonville Bearcats softball squad by a count of 15-4 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines play the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A challenge, on Friday, April 11. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).

The Bearcats (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers enter the Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, R-S Central overcame East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 11-2, in a non-league challenge.
