April 10, 2025: Staten Island, NY 10305 The Moore Catholic Mavericks overwhelmed the host St. Joseph Hill Academy Hilltoppers softball squad by a count of 12-5 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks meet the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 12. Moore Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Patriots go into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Wakefield School (The Plains, VA).
The Hilltoppers (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, Notre Dame Academy was routed by Wilson Hall (Sumter, SC), 13-1, in a non-league challenge.
