In Friday's non-league game, the host Corbin Redhounds baseball team scored a close 9-6 win over the Russell County Lakers.

The Redhounds (10-5) will now prepare for their game against Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY). The Yellow Jackets go into the District 50 game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Williamsburg nudged Holy Cross (Covington, KY), 12-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Lakers play the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) in a District 16 game, on Monday, April 13. Russell County will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 9-8 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY).
