In Friday's league test, the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), by a count of 15-0.

Next, the Bearcats meet the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 test, on Tuesday, April 14. Aledo will attempt to upgrade on its 20-9 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 8-18 record after their 17-1 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX).

The Rough Riders (9-18) will now prepare for their test against Chisholm Trail (Fort Worth, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Chisholm Trail was routed by Aledo (Aledo, TX), 22-1, in a league test.
