In Monday's non-league game, the host Chase Trojans baseball team scored a nice 11-1 victory over the McDowell Titans.

The Trojans (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Hendersonville was overwhelmed by East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 10-0, in a league game.

The Titans (9-6) will now prepare for their game against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Rams go into the The Mountain 3A/4A game with a 11-3 record.
