McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, McDowell upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Titans travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to battle the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Thursday, March 24. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Mitchell won 9-4 in their recent league test against Owen (Black Mountain, NC)

With the defeat, Patton falls to 3-5 on the season. The Panthers host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to battle the Blue Devils in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test on Tuesday, March 29. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 4-3.
