Islip Buccaneers (Islip, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they observed their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting West Babylon Eagles (West Babylon, NY), 12-9 in a non-league match.

With the win, Islip upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Buccaneers host Port Jefferson (Port Jefferson, NY) to play the Royals in a Section 11 II match on Thursday, April 14. The Royals go into the match with a record of 6-2. Port Jefferson won 12-11 in their recent league match against Greenport-Southold-Mattituck (Greenport, NY)

With the defeat, West Babylon drops to 0-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Bellport (Brookhaven, NY) to play the Clippers in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 13. The Clippers go into the match with a record of 1-2. Bellport won 15-11 in their recent league match against John Glenn (Elwood, NY)
