Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Corry Beavers (Corry, PA), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Slippery Rock for a District 10 Region 4 challenge on Thursday, April 13. Hickory will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 17-3 league loss to Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Corry falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Sharon (Sharon, PA) to battle the Tigers in a District 10 Region 4 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Sharon lost 11-3 in their recent league challenge against Oil City (Oil City, PA)
