Illinois High School Softball - Shawnee bounces Dongola
April 11, 2023: Dongola, IL 62926 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL) and the host Dongola Demons (Dongola, IL), witnessed Shawnee's softball squad tip Dongola by a count of 28-21.
The Redskins now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Elverado for a South Egyptian match on Friday, April 14. Shawnee will face a Falcons squad coming off a 7-4 league win over Cobden (Cobden, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Dongola moves to 1-5 on the season. The Demons travel to Elverado (Elkville, IL) to face the Falcons in a South Egyptian match on Thursday, April 20. The Falcons go into the match with a record of 3-10.
