Minnesota High School Softball - Kimball holds off Holdingford
April 11, 2024: Kimball, MN 55353 Kimball Cubs (Kimball, MN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN), 3-1 in a league challenge.
The Cubs now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. Kimball will face a Lakers squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Watertown-Mayer (Watertown, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Holdingford falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Huskers host Pierz (Pierz, MN) to face the Pioneers in a Central Minnesota challenge on Friday, April 12. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Pierz won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Albany (Albany, MN)
