Minnesota High School Softball - Owatonna holds off Mayo
April 11, 2024: Owatonna, MN 55060 Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) and the visiting Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN), witnessed Owatonna's softball squad hold off Mayo by a final score of 7-5.
The Huskies (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans go into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, New Prague held off Waconia (Waconia, MN), 10-4, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mankato West for a Big 9 battle on Saturday, April 13. Mayo will meet a Scarlets squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to New Ulm (New Ulm, MN). The Scarlets record now stands at 2-1.
