April 11, 2024: Union, NJ 07083 Union Catholic Vikings (Scotch Plains, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ), 14-8 in a league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cranford for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. Union Catholic will face a Cougars squad coming off a 10-4 league loss to Dayton (Springfield, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Union falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Farmers host Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ) to face the Minutemen in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Elizabeth won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Johnson (Clark, NJ)
