The Independence Eagles baseball squad (Thompson's Station, TN), was edged 9-8 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Beech Buccaneers (Hendersonville, TN)

With the triumph, Beech moves its record to 16-10 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN) to confront the Stars in a non-league contest on Monday, April 14. The Stars come into the contest with a record of 19-8. Siegel won 9-2 in their recent non-league contest against Mount Juliet (Mt. Juliet, TN)

The Eagles now possess a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Centennial for a 4A District 11 contest on Monday, April 14. Independence will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Smyrna (Smyrna, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 9-14.
