North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC), 15-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, North Mecklenburg advances its record to 9-8 on the season. The Vikings host Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to battle the Titans in a Queen City 3A/4A match on Wednesday, April 23. The Titans come into the match with a record of 15-4.

The Cougars now have a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Mecklenburg for a non-league match on Monday, April 14. Chambers will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 11-5.
